Rolling in the cash Stones top of the rich-list 26 Jan 07 - The Rolling Stones have taken top spot for the second year running in the US music rich-list. Mick Jagger and his band-mates raked in £76.5million last year, £70.4million of it from their A Bigger Bang tour. That event was postponed when guitarist Keith Richards injured his head after falling from a tree – he had to have brain surgery but the Stones were soon back on stage. They topped the annual list of music's top moneymakers compiled by Forbes magazine. It ranks acts by US tour grosses, album and digital sales. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill were second on £67.1million, with Rascal Flatts third after earning £56.1million. Madonna was fourth in the list after amassing a 2006 fortune of £49.1million - £43.6million of it from her Confessions tour. The list also features Barbra Streisand in fifth place. She made an average of £2.3million per gig last year, taking her total to £48.6million. Other big earners included Kenny Chesney, country star and short-lived husband of actress Renee Zellweger, who made £45.7million, and Celine Dion, who amassed £43.3 million for her show in Las Vegas. Bon Jovi were eighth on £39.3million, Nickelback ninth on £37.6 million and The Dave Matthews Band 10th on £30.5million. Adrian Larkin

High Noon - Movie News Delivered Daily at, er,Noon High Noon - 13th September 2006 Written by Paul Arendt Jagger Gets Animated Mick Jagger's on/off movie career (Freejack, anyone?) has taken a new twist this week with the news that he is producing a Rolling Stones cartoon. The movie will be based on the Stones track Ruby Tuesday, and will follow the adventures of a single mum in New York. Presumably no-one can hang a name on her, she changes with every new day and so on. Luc Besson is producing with Jagger, and renowned animators Paul and Gaetan Brizzi will direct.
